Mozart’s violin concertos, requiring tremendous practice and a great deal of virtuosity, are part of every significant violinist’s repertoire, and a growing number of musicians specialising in 18th-century music perform these pieces on period instruments.
This recording has been compiled in the same fashion: it offers three concertos and three similarly nonchalant compositions played by Capella Savaria, hailed by the Canadian Opus Magazine as “one of Europe’s best ensembles”.
